Here at the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre, most of our animals have been rescued from neglect and bad treatment by their previous owners. We look after dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and many other types of small domestic animals - at any one time we could be caring for over 150 animals. We spend weeks, sometimes months, rehabilitating them and preparing them for a new life and a second chance. It costs the RSPCA over £2000 a day to run the West Hatch Animal Centre. The RSPCA relies entirely on kind donations from people like you.Despite the restrictions, in 2020 we rehomed 63 dogs, 151 cats, 37 rabbits, 11 birds, 31 farm animals, 15 guinea pigs, 58 small mammals and 2 goldfish! The RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre takes in animals from RSPCA Inspectors only. The demand for spaces for the animals they bring to us is ever increasing and we are therefore unable to accept unwanted pets or stray animals from members of the public. We are able to provide information on centres that can re-home animals for the public on request.UPDATE 15/04/2021We are still closed to the public, but our phone lines are now open, Tue-Sat: 11.30-1pm and 2-4pm; Sun: 11.30-1pm. Closed on Monday. Tel: 0300 123 0747.We do however prefer that you contact us by email at: email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Email us if you would like more information on an animal you have seen on our website.Rehoming is still being carried out remotely in most instances, but we are now arranging collections by appointment. Due to this we are able to rehome some animals to locations that are further away than the previously stated one hour's drive. Some dog introductions are now taking place on site. We will update on further reopening measures as they are rolled out.
