About Me
Meet Bluey — a gorgeous 2-year-old Lurcher with a big personality, a playful spirit, and so much love to give.
Bluey is looking for an active and understanding home that can offer him plenty of exercise, affection, and continued guidance as he grows in confidence. He can take a little time to warm up to new people and situations, but once that bond is built, Bluey becomes an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. He absolutely adores human company and is happiest curled up on the sofa beside his favourite people enjoying lots of fuss and cuddles after a day of adventures.
Like many young Lurchers, Bluey is full of life and enthusiasm. He has a fun-loving, playful nature and can be excitable at times, so he will benefit from adopters who can continue his training and help him channel his energy positively. He is a clever boy who enjoys interaction and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy both mental stimulation and regular exercise.
We feel he would be best suited to a home with teenagers who understand when he may need a little space while settling in. Once comfortable, his affectionate and goofy personality really shines through, and he quickly becomes a much-loved member of the family.
Around other dogs, Bluey can sometimes find introductions and social situations a little overwhelming. However, with calm handling and sensible introductions, he can walk nicely alongside other dogs once familiar with them. Due to this, Bluey is looking for a pet-free home where he can be the centre of attention and continue building his confidence at his own pace. His ideal family would need to be happy to walk him in quiet rural areas to help him feel at ease. We have found that heavily populated dog areas have made his reactivity worse. Bluey is muzzle trained and wears this well, which will help his new family with his continued training journey.
Bluey is a wonderful young dog with so much potential, and with the right home he will make a devoted, loving, and endlessly rewarding companion.
