About Me

Georgie is an 11-month-old male Lurcher with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s a total goofball, affectionate, bouncy, and always happiest when he’s curled up on the sofa with his humans. Like many young dogs, he’s still figuring things out and doesn’t always realise his own size, which just adds to his charm.

He’s very food motivated, which makes training a great opportunity, and fun for all those involved, though he’ll need some continued work on his lead manners as he can be strong when out and about. Georgie still has plenty of puppy-like behaviours, providing fun antics which are sure to put a smile on your face.

Georgie has had limited experience with car travel, so he’ll need a home that can gently build his confidence in this area.

He came into care with his sister Lily, and they share a close bond they could be rehomed together or separately, depending on the right match.

He’s curious about other dogs and, with the right introductions, has the potential to make great canine friends. The team feels he could live with a like-minded female dog, pending successful introductions.

Due to his size and enthusiasm, Georgie could live with dog-savvy children aged 10 years and over who are comfortable around larger, bouncy dogs. He would not be suitable for a home with cats or small furries due to his breed and the love for a fun chase. Georgies ideal home would be one that has someone around most of the time, atleast initially whilst he gains confidence in spending time alone.

Georgie would suit a loving home ready to embrace his playful nature and help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog.
