Tommy is a 2½-year-old male greyhound with a cheeky personality and a heart full of love. This handsome lad is always ready to greet you with a smile, a waggy tail, and an equally waggy backend, his whole body gets involved when he’s happy to see you! A true little trooper, Tommy arrived in our care with a tail injury and has since had a partial amputation. He’s taken it all in his stride and hasn’t let it dampen his spirits one bit. If anything, it’s made him even more special. Tommy absolutely adores affection. He loves to rest his head gently on your lap for head and neck scratches and will lean right into you for cuddles in classic greyhound style. He’s a soft, affectionate boy who bonds closely with his people. When he’s not soaking up attention, you’ll find him happily entertaining himself with his favourite squeaky toys. Due to his ex-racing career, Tommy has a high prey drive and can find the world outside kennels overwhelming. He will need to remain on lead when out and about and wear a muzzle as required. For this reason, he cannot live with cats or small furries. However, he could happily share his home with a calm female sighthound and would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 years and over. Tommy is ready to leave his racing days behind and start his next chapter as a much-loved family companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate boy with a playful spark and plenty of love to give, Tommy could be your perfect match.
