Bobbie is a gorgeous 6-year-old male Lurcher with a huge heart and an even bigger love of comfort. He is a super affectionate, cuddly boy who truly enjoys human company and is a champion sofa hog, happiest when curled up next to his people or spread out in a sunny spot. He loves his toys and can normally be found carrying one around in his mouth with a big, waggy tail to match. Out on walks, Bobbie generally walks beautifully on the lead. Due to dog reactivity, he must be kept on lead and muzzled, and he benefits from being walked in quieter areas where he has plenty of space from other dogs. This allows him to relax, take in his surroundings, and enjoy all the wonderful smells without feeling overwhelmed. Over time here at the centre Bobbie has been able to mix and walk alongside some other dogs, they have been introduced slowly so that he can remain feeling comfortable. This shows that he could create some walking buddies in the future. Bobbie travels well in the car and has good basic manners. He also knows a few lovely party tricks, including “Watch Me” and “Paw,” and enjoys engaging with his handlers. Bobbie is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only pet. He cannot live with other dogs, cats, or small furries as he deserves all the attention on him. In the home, Bobbie will reward his humans with loyalty, affection, and lots of cuddles, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys peaceful walks and cosy evenings at home.
