About Me
Trudy is a beautiful, petite lurcher girl who came into our care after being rescued from a pound where she was sadly at risk. Around 2½ years old, she stands at approximately 24 inches to the shoulder and is currently 19 kg, having gained much needed weight since arriving with LSOS. She is still working on adding a little more, but is doing brilliantly.
Trudy has settled wonderfully into foster life and is an absolute delight at home. She is clean in the house, eats well, sleeps through the night, and is never in a rush to get up in the morning. She enjoys garden zooms, toys, and all the comforts of home life, but her favourite thing by far is cuddling up on the sofa with her people. If you have space on your sofa, Trudy will happily fill it.
She has charmed every visitor who has come through the door, greeting them with gentle cuddles and heart melting looks. Trudy is incredibly affectionate, eager to please, and thrives on being close to her humans. While she does not suffer from separation anxiety and is not destructive, she would not be happy being shut away from her people. She needs a home where she can be part of everyday life and share her time and love freely.
Trudy has been exploring the world on walks alongside her foster sister, Mabel. She trots along nicely and often looks to her human for reassurance and the occasional treat. Lead walking is still relatively new to her, so she will need continued gentle guidance, especially as she can become excited when she sees other dogs running. She has shown no aggression towards other dogs and will only bark appropriately if an off lead dog invades her space.
She gets on well with other dogs and could live happily as an only dog or with a calm, gentle canine companion. She is polite, playful, and takes everything in her stride.
Trudy is vaccinated, neutered, and ready to find her forever home. She is a sweet, loving young girl who will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal shadow, a soft presence in the home, and a dedicated sofa snuggler.
