Sophie is an 8-year-old ex-racing greyhound who came over from Ireland and was adopted in 2019. Sadly, due to a change in her family’s circumstances, Sophie is looking for a new home – through absolutely no fault of her own. Weighing around 23kg, Sophie is in excellent health, microchipped and vaccinated. She’s affectionate but also wonderfully independent – happy to cuddle, but never demanding of constant attention. This makes her an ideal companion for someone who works from home, as she’s content to relax by your side without being underfoot. Sophie enjoys her daily walks (currently two a day, with one being a good 45–60 minutes). She’s great on the lead in urban settings and gets on very well with other dogs, although she prefers to steer clear of very small, noisy ones. She’s also fantastic with children, making her a wonderful addition to a family home. Food-wise, she’s not fussy – she enjoys dry food with the occasional tasty scrap. Her current family describe her as happy, adaptable, and an absolute joy to live with. Letting her go is a decision made with great sadness, but they want nothing more than for Sophie to find the loving home she so truly deserves.
