About Me

Hope is a senior girl, estimated to be around 10 years old, who recently joined us after living as a stray. She’s been in her foster home for three weeks and is slowly starting to settle in. Hope is very quiet, clean, and obedient, with good recall indoors. She walks nicely on the lead, travels well in the car, and is coping well with new environments when visiting friends.

Hope is incredibly nervous around people – not at all aggressive, just very frightened and unsure. She prefers to keep her distance and will often find a quiet spot to hide. She’s still learning that she’s safe, and her foster home is giving her all the time and space she needs to start building trust.

She tolerates other dogs and can assert herself when needed, but she’s not aggressive. She is not cat friendly. Hope enjoys her walks, usually twice a day, and spends the rest of the time resting in her bed or quietly following her foster around the house. She eats well and has started to gain weight, though she sometimes shows signs of anxiety around food and prefers to be left alone to eat.

Hope is due to be spayed in October. With patience, love, and understanding, this gentle girl will continue to come out of her shell and discover the joys of home life.
