Mad Mo! What can we say its been a hell of a few months this numpty but its been a pleasure and to see his ability to learn, understand and grow has been immense. Mo landed with us quite shut down and scared but soon launched into a huge wreckless ball off anxiety. We were glad to see it, he had opened up and we had something to work with.
Mo we feel has been either in a shed environment or a home environment where he has spent huge periods of times alone. He had huge anxieties about being left and was like a little chipmunk going round and round his kennel. More so and more disturbing was his weird relationship with toys! Mo was obsessed with them but it wasn't a comfortable obsessed! He had to have them but then set about pacing and stressing with them not playing he refused to release them (no aggression just panic) and you could see it was completely mentally unhealthy.
Over the last couple of months we have worked hard with play, food, boundary training and fun games with us to make toys much less important to him and now he has a good relationship with him. He will play with them beautifully but if he does get a little stressed asking him to return to you or release them sees him happily do that in return for your attention or a game or food reward.
Mo is fabulous with other dogs, he definitely needs a home with a companion either a female or we feel he could settle into a mixed pack with both male and female as long as the males were not to bossy and would not bully him. He walks well on lead now having been terrible in the beginning and shooting here and there. He is also sociable with all dogs he comes across when out walking. We feel Mo would be best suited to a home with someone around a lot of the time as opposed to full time workers and bonding him up with the other dogs would be a must to stop him worrying when left.
Mo has definitely now learnt about freedom of choice and how good sensible choices mean good things. He needs a home willing to carry on working with his brain aswell as physically excercising him. Mo is NOT cat friendly and would be best in a home children teenage and upwards
