Lovely Diego (on the right in the photo) is looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. He is a beautiful brindle boy of 7 years of age and 27" to the shoulder. Ideally we would like to re-home him together with Dixie as they are quite bonded.

Location: Diego is desperately seeking a new home or foster home with his companion Dixie. They are currently still in their home in Norfolk.
Key Points: Big gentle brindle boy, lovely companion and very well behaved. Good in the car and on the lead but doesn't like dogs too much in his face as he was previously attacked in kennels. Can be left for up to 4 hours with Dixie.

~ Personality ~
Diego is a sensitive lad who isn't keen on loud noises or raised voices. He is loving and sweet and very responsive to basic commands.

~ In the Home ~
Diego is a very good boy in the home. He is responsive to basic training and always needs to be let out for a wee straight after he's eaten! He currently sleeps through the night sharing a bed with Dixie with no problems. They are like a little married couple with Dixie definitely wearing the trousers :)

~ Other Animals ~
Diego can be worried around other dogs but is brilliant with Dixie. Unfortunately Diego is not cat friendly though so a cat free home is a must.

~ Out and About ~
Diego will need a minimum of two 30 minute walks a day and garden play. He is a very good boy once bonded and can be let off lead in a safe area and just trots back but his mum currently has him muzzled just in case of other dogs upsetting him.

~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
Diego will need a fairly quite home where someone is around most of the time and we would very much like him to be homed with Dixie if at all possible. HPlease note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect him. Also please be aware we do not home to families with children under 8 years of age.

~ Where Am I? ~
Diego is currently in his home in Norfolk but seeking a new home asap as his owners personal circumstances have changed. If anyone feels they could foster Diego to save him having to go back into kennels please give us a call for an informal chat. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Diego is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you would like to offer a new home for Diego, please contact the rescue on 075 000 626 48 and ask for Bronwen or send them an email if available.
