Max is a gorgeous black boy of approximately 5 years of age and 29 inches to the shoulder. He is finding the very young child in his home too much and although the family love him dearly they have asked us to find him a suitable home where he will be much happier and more relaxed.
Location: Max is currently in his home in Suffolk awaiting a permanent home or a foster home offer.
Key Points: A real gentleman, very loving, clean in the home, funny, sweet, great on the lead and in the car. Good with other dogs and can be left up to 4.5 hours with other canine company.
~ Personality ~
Max is a really lovely boy who is looking for a home with older children and other dogs to play with. He is an absolute sweetheart and very loving.
~ In the Home ~
Max is clean in the home and sleeps through the night without any problems. He will still counter-surf if anything tasty is left out but what self-respecting greyhound wouldn't?! Max can also be left for up to four and half hours with at least one other dog for company.
~ Other Animals ~
Max is very good with other dogs although can take a dislike if a dog gets too much in his face or personal space! He will need a cat free and small fluffy animal free home please.
~ Out and About ~
Max loves his walks and is excellent both on the lead and in the car. He will need a minimum of two 30 minute walks a day but due to him being quite young he would happily do longer. He would also benefit from a chance to stretch his legs off lead a couple of times a week once he has bonded with his new owners. This would need to be in an enclosed area away from livestock and public roads.
~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
~ Where Can I Live? ~
Max would love a home with at least one other dog and older children. He would thrive with a family who have the time to shower him with the affection he deserves. Please note that you will be required to travel to Suffolk to meet and collect him. Also please be aware we do not home to families with children under 8 years of age.
~ Where Am I? ~
Max is currently in his home in Suffolk where he is patiently awaiting his forever home or a foster home offer. If anyone feels they could foster Max to save him having to go back into kennels please give us a call for an informal chat. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.
~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Max is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you would like to offer a new home for Max, please contact the rescue on 075 000 626 48 and ask for Bronwen or send them an email if available.
