About Me

Meet Sookie! I love this girl but don't be fooled by the angelic looks she can be quite the madam! Sookie landed with us having been found and remaining unclaimed as a stray.

Sookie will need an experienced patient home to continue her through her progress. She was at first taken home by the finder where she settled beautifully but then came into season hence moving to the stray kennels. She was said to be clean and okay to be left for short periods of time. We feel Sookie could easily adapt to being an only dog with someone around in the beginning to settle her in. Sookie has been fine in the main with the other dogs in the kennels and out on walks but has had a couple of pops, this may be due to her being post season and her hormones settling but she definitely prefers male dogs to females therefore we will not rehome her with another girl. We feel with a quieter calmer and more settled male though she would be fine after careful introductions. Sookie is a total love bucket with people she knows, she can though be worried by some strangers so any new home must understand that she needs time and patience and space and not to allow people to get into her face and worry her. Due to her worry we feel older children who are dog savy and aged 10 plus is a must. This girl will be perfect once she has had a few ground rules and boundaries put into place, she is desperate to trust and for someone else to show her what is expected of her and kind and gentle persuasion works really well. You would not know she was nervous in any way shape or form at first glance as she carries herself confidentally so isn't a shivering wreck so please do not confuse that.

Sookie is clean in her kennel, walks well out on her lead and travels like a dream. She is NOT cat friendly

Sookie is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed and microchipped and now she has had a few weeks out of her season has been spayed so her hormone levels will start to settle even more.

Sookie is currently with us in kennels in Stoke on Trent and any new family must be committed to travelling to meet her with any resident dogs.
