Description

These 2 landed in our care after we took a call from the local pound to ask us if we could visit a house needing rid of 2 *LURCHERS*!! Imagine our suprise on finding what we did!

Renowned for our oops moments we could not bear to send them off to the pound so brought them in anyway! On landing with us these 2 were very scared and worried but have more than come bouncing out of their shells...

Luna is a typical husky! Cheeky, vocal, inquisitive and as brainy as hell! She is again typically husky in that she is aloof with you at first but once she knows you and has deemed you worthy of her trust you are the best thing since sliced bread and need good good Luna loving! She is the brains of the operation...... Dexter not so much. Dexter is Luna's goofy side kick and really not overly bright! He does as he is told and Luna likes to tell him *a lot*! He is more than happy to kowtow to her though and somehow they oddly seem to work. Dexter is a great big soft bag of mush.

Ideally we would love to find these two a home together with someone with experience of one or the other breed - both desperately need another dog for company but we would consider splitting them if someone had another dog already and experience of their relative breeds. Out on walks they are monkeys and we are currently introducing them to head collars! Luna is a typical sled dog and wants to pull...... Dexter I am sure just wants to pull because well Luna wants to pull and he is led totally by what his sister is doing! They cannot be rehomed with cats as is typical with Luna's breed it also need noting that she has a typically Husky prey drive so will not be rehomed with any form of small furries. Regarding other dogs, Dexter seems fine with most as long as they don't shout at him! If they do he shouts back, its not aggression just the fact he likes his own voice and hey if someone else is shouting he is shouting too! Luna is fine with dogs in the main but can be a little jealous and does not like them in her face, she will curl a lip subtly which isn't always overly helpful but has not gone any further with it than that! Luna and Dexter would be best placed in homes with older children 10 plus as they do not have much experience of them.

All in all these two are lovely dogs who are very typical of their breeds! They have not had the best life up until landing in our care and need a home with patience and understanding and the time, space and energy to exercise them enough and to keep them mentally stimulated (Luna definitely, Dexter just likes *games*)

Luna is a 2 year old husky and and Dexter is a 6 year old Weimaraner.

Dexter and Luna are both vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and have both been neutered. If you are interested in offering them a home please in the first instance complete the pre adoption questionnaire below...
