Magee yet another Greyhound no longer wanted by the industry, is a lovely jet black boy with beautiful, bright eyes who will be totally gorgeous once his coat has reached peak condition. Magee is approximately 28" to the shoulder and just 2 years of age.
Location: Currently in kennels in Suffolk. Magee would love a foster home while he waits for his forever family. We are very stuck for foster homes right now with a lot of dogs in kennels, sucking up our finances. Any help that you can give at all would be hugely appreciated.
Key Points: Happy, excited, cheeky, bubbly, keeps his kennel fairly clean, very good in car, is understandably excitable to start with when he goes out for a walk but will settle after a short while.
~ Personality ~
Magee is a very friendly boy who seems to like children and has a lot of 'Magee love and hugs' to give that special family! He really is a cutie pie and would so love to be in a loving home environment soon. In the meantime if you feel you could offer a foster home to this lovely boy and help him to learn the ropes please do get in touch with us.
~ In the Home ~
Magee has not had the chance to be in a home before so will need patience and love to help him understand toilet training and boundaries.
~ Other Animals ~
Magee hasn't met many other dogs other than greyhounds but is very good with hounds and other larger dogs.
~ Out and About ~
Magee is very good in the car and travels brilliantly. He loves going for walks and is good on the lead although he can be excitable to start with which soon settles as the walk progresses. Like most greyhounds Magee will be happy with a minimum of two 30 minute walks a day and would love a change to stretch his legs off lead in an enclosed area away from livestock and public roads a couple of times a week.
~ Greyhounds as Pets ~ In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.
~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Magee would settle into most family environments but may prefer the company of one other dog for company. Please be aware though that we do not home dogs to families with children under 8 years of age. Magee can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Suffolk to meet and collect him.
~ Where Am I? ~
Magee is currently in Kennels in Suffolk. If anyone feels they could foster Magee to help him on his journey to a forever home please give us a call for an informal chat. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.
~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Maggee will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed and a home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
