Ruthie is a four year old Greyhound. She has been in foster for the last month with a male Greyhound. She is a very happy little lady and a clever soul who likes to be in the thick of things. She likes to be with you and follows her fosterer around , as she's only been out of kennels a short time, it's very typical that she chooses to be with her humans for most of the time currently. Having said that, she has been left at home with her Greyhound pal for a short period and has settled. She also settles at night, she sleeps upstairs as she has mastered the stairs very quickly . She has only had one accident in the home since leaving kennels but she is still learning that she needs to let you know if she needs to toilet. As with any of our dogs from kennels, we advise treating her as an overgrown pup and regularly letting her have access to outside so she continues to be clean in the house.
Ruthie walks well on the lead but is still learning about other breeds of dogs, different breeds can make her spin about at the moment if they come running at her , she has as well as walking with her Greyhound pal , been walking with a labrador pal who she is quite happy to walk with. She is a clever girl and willing to learn , with regular socialisation she will settle down with other dogs, everything is so new and different for her currently after only having been with Greyhounds previously.
Ruthie does love her toys, absolutely adores her food and loves affection and being cuddled. She is a special little lady with a lot to offer someone.
She would be happy as an only dog so long as she has company , or with another male Greyhound. She is not cat friendly and would be better homed with children over 10 as she is very playful, she would like older children to play with or someone who has the time to play with her and take her out and about to see life .
Ruthie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and flead and wormed. She can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful home check.
