About Me

Gus is a three year old beautiful shiny black Greyhound boy. Gus has been in foster for a few months and has made a lot of progress from the exceedingly timid boy we took in.
Gus is a joy around the house and has a calm and patient nature, waiting quietly by the door for walks and meals. He has learnt to let his fosterers know when he needs to toilet outside and is clean and quiet at night, welcoming them with a stretch, a wag and a cuddle in the morning.
Gus really loves being brushed and will stand and sway with his eyes closed and if you groom him with a comb it will make his teeth chatter with happiness. Like all greyhounds, he has a mischievous side including collecting shoes, socks and hats when he wants attention. He walks well on the lead however he is still getting used to people. He has started to make friends with humans outside of his household greeting them with an enthusiastic tail wag although, he can still be a little cautious with some people.
Gus has made great progress in learning about other dog breeds and now walks past them calmly without a second look, choosing only to stop, sniff and wag at dogs of his own size. He enjoys his walks and zoomies in the garden followed by a hard day at work snoozing in the home office making him a great home working companion. Gus has been left home alone for a few hours and just finds a comfy sofa to quietly sleep the time away.
Gus really is a super little chap who will make a great pal for somebody, he's come along way already in a couple of months. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, deflead and wormed. He can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck.
