Renée is a seven year old female Greyhound, currently in foster with a male Greyhound and female Labrador. Before coming to NGR, Renée was found straying as just another unwanted and neglected nameless soul. However, Renée is living up to her name’s origins (means rebirth or born again) because it’s as though she can’t believe her luck and is full to the brim with happiness and affection now she knows she is loved, safe, warm and fed.
Renée is proving to be a delightful house guest in the foster home. She soon picked up housetraining and it didn’t take her long to find the sofa! Renée is an extremely loving girl; she likes to show her affection by gently pushing her head into you. She loves to have a blast in a secure field but will regularly check in and come for a fuss as she doesn’t like to be too far away from you. Renée is a responsive young lady who very much wants to please her foster family.
Renée chooses to sleep downstairs on the sofa and doesn’t make a sound until her family get up in the morning. She has been left for three hours with the resident dogs and the doggy cam indicates no signs of anxiety as Renée simply settles down and goes to sleep.
Renée can be a little wary of approaching dogs but passes them in a calm manner, unless they get too close and then she will warn them off with a little shout. If they walk past her with playful body language she reciprocates with the same. She shows more excitement with squirrels and cats and is quite a strong girl so needs to be walked by someone who cope with her excitement when she sees a running squirrel/cat. Renée loves her walks and she likes to walk at a decent pace, she may be seven but she’s no dawdler!
There is still more to learn and love about Renée as she continues to re-build her trust in humans. We are seeing the sweetest glimmers of a very playful and mischievous girl and whoever adopts Renée will be very lucky as they will continue to see her flourish.
Renée is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flead and wormed. Renée is not cat friendly. She can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck.
