About Me

Bimba is just stunning – she is 2 years old, and a really beautiful and lovely natured dog. She is great with people and other dogs and just doesn’t stop wagging her tail and jumping up for kisses when she is with you. She is currently living in a foster home in Kent with other dogs and older children.

Bimba is a typical Podenco in that she can and does JUMP so anyone looking after her or thinking of adopting her will need HIGH fences. Please do not apply unless you have a 100% safe, escape proof garden with at least 6 foot fences all around.

Please remember Pods are not small greyhounds – they are clever, lively and full of beans.

Bimba cannot live with children under 10 - she is from the dog pound and during lockdown she is unable to even meet any children, so she cannot be assessed.

Bimba is a fabulous dog but she has been through a lot of change lately so she needs owners who will think very carefully before adopting her, so they know they are ready for the commitment.

During the national lockdown we can only rehome in Kent, East Sussex, Surrey, South London, East London, Essex and South Hertfordshire. This does change as the rules change so please always check our Covid statement on our Kent Greyhound rescue website. Please do not apply outside of these areas as we have to follow the Government's guidance to keep everyone safe. We can only homecheck using our key volunteers and these are the areas they cover. Once the National rules relax - our rules will follow. You need to travel to us and we need to travel to us - and we all need to keep this to an absolute minimum.

If you can apply you need to complete the online application form on our website - this is the quickest way to get a reply during lockdown.

All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and vet checked. Most have lived in foster homes. We do ask for a donation and everything is explained in full on our website.
