About Me

Zeus is a six-year-old ex-racing greyhound with bags of joyful personality. He’s always happy to take a treat and afuss, and will eagerly greet new people – as long as they’re prepared to tickle him behind the ears.

Our statuesque Greek god is also a total sun worshipper and would appreciate a home with a sunny garden to loll about in, though being black you may need to remind him to come in before he gets too hot! He’s learning all about about the joys of toys and loves a game of chase and tug. We think he’s going to be a really playful chap once he’s settled in a home.

Zeus enjoys his foods and takes treats very gently even from little hands. He has been fabulous around children, enjoying being fussed by them, and always remaining calm and confident when they run and play around him. Zeus could suit family life well, but due to his size would be better with children over six years old.

Zeus is a little unsure of other dog breeds and has been working with our behaviour team, and his forever family would need to be prepared to continue his socialisation. He can be a little timid in new environments, and looks to his handler for confidence. Once reassured, he’s gentle on the lead and walks well whether you want to tootle along or have a little run. He’s also a convenient height for receiving fuss from passers by!

We think this handsome boy is truly a god amongst dogs – could you find a spot on your Mount Olympus for Zeus?
