Personality: Twiggy: Nosey-parker; Willow: Comfort-seeker
Twiggy and Willow are two-year-old saluki-whippet crosses who come from the same litter. They have always lived together, are completely inseparable, and will be homed together. As puppies they went to a lovely home, but due to changes in the family situation, this beautiful pair are now looking for a new home together.
Although they’re two of a kind, these sisters have quite different characters. Twiggy is the first of the pair to step up and say hello to new people, while Willow hangs back. Willow is a real comfort seeker – if you ever wonder which is the most comfortable seat in the house, the answer is; the one she is sleeping on! She likes her own space, while Twiggy will come for a gentle cuddle and lean in for a fuss. They are calm girls who are tolerant of handling and used to being in a home environment. They are house trained (although will need to be shown around their new home), and have been left alone for up to four hours without any issues.
While these two love each other, they haven’t really been socialised with other dogs. Willow is friendly with those she meets, while Twiggy tends to bark at them, and then Willow joins in. Loud traffic can upset them, so these two would be happier in a quiet, ideally rural, area where they don’t have to walk alongside roads too often. Both girls will benefit from ongoing training and socialisation to help them become more confident.
They will be happiest as the only two dogs in a home, and are not cat friendly. Twiggy and Willow both like their food, which will help with training, but so far they are not interested in toys – they would far rather play with each other! Having lived in a home, these two girls don’t want to stay in kennels for long: could you offer them a chance to grow up in comfort and safety, learning that the world is a fun place, full of adventures – and one where they’ll never have to be apart? If so, please get in touch.
