About Me

Ella is a sprightly seven year old Greyhound who loves her home comforts! She has come into our care through no fault of her own, due to her owner sadly passing away.

Ella is currently living in a foster home, where she spends 90% of her time upside down on the sofa! She is sharing her foster home with three other hounds, and they all get along brilliantly. She has also previously lived with other breed dogs, but would be equally happy as the only dog, as long as she gets plenty of belly rubs! Ella loves people, and is incredibly affectionate (even with people she’s just met!). She could live with children pending introductions, but would prefer not to share with a cat. Ella is house-trained, quiet and settled at home, and travels well in the car. Although she is currently living in a rural area, she isn’t worried by traffic or busy areas so could happily live in a more urban environment.

Although Ella is friendly with other dogs, she can get excited and bark quite a lot when she spots them on walks! She doesn’t mean any harm, and will greet them nicely once close enough to say hello. To this effect, if homed with another dog, we would suggest she is handled separately so her walker can concentrate on dealing with this behaviour. Therefore, if homed to a single person, we recommend she is the only dog in the home. Our behaviour team will be able to help Ella’s new family work on this behaviour. She loves her walks and walks beautifully on lead.

Although Ella has settled almost immediately into her foster home, what she really needs is a new family of her own. If you have quite a large Ella-Shaped space on your sofa, please get in touch!
