About Me

Lucy is just coming up to 14 months and is currently with us here at Greyhound Gap. This girl is adorable with people and children but sadly having never been socialised is not great with other dogs.

We are working on her socialisation and she is now able to ignore dogs out on walks but we would not trust her to mix with them freely. We believe that she is a heavy set mix of greyhound, bearded collie and bull so will need an experienced owner who is around all or most of the time especially in the beginning to help us settle her into coping as an only dog. Sadly it is not always the strongest quality of bull xs coping with being left without their owner but we wouldn't home her with another dog currently. We appreciate sadly this could mean she may be overlooked for quite a while having such a necessary homing criteria so we are keen to start advertising her now whilst we continue with the work we are doing with her. Here in kennels Lucy is learning to settle and have quiet time, she is starting to have periods where she understands she can not have company all the time and does love her free time with us all and out on her walks. She travels quite well but we just genuinely free she has had non to little life experience to this point. She works hard to keep her kennel clean so we do believe she will be easy to sort with her house training and is completely non destructive in her kennel which gives us hope she would learn to cope alone for short periods.

Lucy is NOT cat friendly and can be rehomed with dog savy children 8years and upwards in a lurcher experienced home. We feel with sensible owners willing to give her good on lead levels of exercise and continued investment in time she will make an amazing loyal dog.

Lucy is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and spayed. She is currently in Stoke on Trent but can be rehomed nationally subject to a successful homevisit and all members of the immediate family being willing to travel to meet with her.
