About Me

Our stunning Perry who is nearly 2 is now ready to find his new home but please read all his information. He is a very special boy who needs a very special home to call his own.

Perry came into our care at Greyhound Gap after the sad passing of his young owner. Due to the relationship that Perry had with his owner he was with him all of the time and they were very rarely apart. This meant that Perry did struggle to adapt initially but is now very settled with us here at the kennels. Perry needs an understanding home with plenty of time and patience and would love a busy family with someone around all or most of the time especially in the beginning who would like him to be a pivotal part of their day to day activities and give him plenty of companionship. He is a game dog who is fabulous on lead, has great recall out and about on walks and would love to have an active life.

We do feel that Perry would need constant companionship in his new home and he adores other dogs in the main. He would love a steady calm female companion. He has been fine with all dogs he has met bar large entire males however he was at the time entire himself and has since been neutered so all this will settle down as his hormone levels settle. If Perry where to be an only dog it would have to be a very committed family who would work with us and follow to the letter all of his settling needs to ensure he did not develop anxiety being parted from his people.

Perry can be somewhat of a nervous traveller and does not like to be caged in the rescue van but in a normal car where he can see you he does settle and travel relatively well. Perry can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards and would enjoy their company but not cats.

This boy has ALL of the good basics in place and has been well socialised and is a credit to his past owner Tim. He just needs a home now to understand he has had a bit of a traumatic time and give him the patience and love he needs to transfer that bond to a new family unit.

Perry is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed and is microchipped and castrated. He is currently in Stoke on Trent but can be rehomed nationally subject to a successful home visit and any immediate family members and current resident dogs being willing to travel to meet him.
