About Me

Meet the magnificent Honey, a 9 month old Azawakh x Saluki.

Honey came to us recently from a home with 3 young children 1 being a 6 month old baby and the other two young boys. Honey was fine with the children and the female in the house but would not accept the male. He himself feels that it stemmed from having to tell 2 young lads off for being raucous and from that point on Honey did not trust him. Azawakh are naturally suspicious by nature and are actually guardians as well as sighthounds so we feel that this would tie in to her refusal to accept. Honey has been a delight with us and thankfully does not display that overly avert aloof behaviour that both of her breeds are renowned for. For a 9 month old puppy she is extremely calm, well behaved and together and a delight to have around.

Having Azawakh in her Honey naturally gravitates very strongly to other dogs and we do feel having other sighthounds in her home will be a massive reassurance to her so she will not be rehomed as a singular dog. She needs a calm home with slightly older children so that the usual antics of younger children does not cause any further discord with relationship building. Honey walks like a dream on the lead, is clean and settled in her kennel and travels well. We feel with a sighthound especially saluki experienced home she will be a fabulous addition to any pack

Honey is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and spayed. She is currently in kennels in Stoke on Trent but can be rehomed nationally subject to a successful homevisit and all members of the immediate family and any current resident dogs being willing to travel to meet her.
