Lemmie is a stunning and some what sensitive 4 year old Greyhound boy who landed into our care recently here at Greyhound Gap.
This boy is an absolute darling and is very sweet and calm and has a somewhat sensitive nature, he is very intelligent and takes his time to warm up to new places and people but once you have his trust he relaxes quickly in your company.
We feel that if Lemmie were to be rehomed as an only dog it would need to be to a home with someone around all or most of the time especially in the beginning to help him settle, he would also love a home with a steady greyhound female in to help him gain confidence whilst learning about the world around him. Lemmie travels like a dream and walks beautifully on the lead in the main but is still a little switched on to smaller dogs and furries and anything running fast so needs a home willing to invest in the time to gently socialise him and help him understand about other breeds of dogs. Lemmie is NOT cat friendly and can be rehomed to families with dog savy children 8 years and up. He would not enjoy a high energy noisy environment. Although Lemmie is currently in kennels with us here in Stoke on Trent he does work hard to keep his environment clean so with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement we do not envisage housetraining being an issue.
Lemmie is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and neutered. He has also received a full dental and will be rehomed with a months free insurance via Petplan.
Lemmie can be rehomed nationwide subject to a successful homevisit and any immediate members of the family including any residents dogs being willing to travel to meet with him.
Please note here at Greyhound Gap we work hard to match suitable dogs to a compatible home and we ask that you keep an open mind when making your application.
