Gorgeous Georgie is the most beautiful brindle greyhound – a real regal stunner. This five-year-old girl raced 78 times in Ireland and the UK, and now she’s ready for a well-earned retirement. Because of her long and illustrious career, she hasn’t had a chance to learn about domestic life, so needs a family who can help her understand how to be a pet.
This shouldn’t take her long, as she’s a confident, sociable lass who loves meeting new people and dogs. She walks beautifully on the lead, although a firm hand will be needed when she spots a squirrel, as she really wants to chase them! Georgie is very affectionate and enjoys fuss and attention, and will take treats very gently. She’s shown interest in toys, but really isn’t sure what to do with them yet, so that’s something else for her to learn!
Georgie will need on-going socialisation around small breed dogs when she goes home, and should be walked on lead with a muzzle until she has learnt that they are not for chasing. She is friendly, but gets excited by fast movement – unsurprising when you consider what she has been trained to do…
This sweet lass would love a second chance at life. Could yours be the home where she’ll finally get the opportunity to relax and let the world just pass her by?
