Let’s celebrate Diwali! This lovely greyhound girl has so much going for her – ever since the light of luck shone on her, and she was rescued from a pound in Ireland having been discarded by her owner. A sweet, gentle soul, despite her past experience, Diwali just loves human contact, and is really affectionate. She enjoys a gentle fuss, and walks beautifully on the lead.
Due to mismanagement, Diwali was attacked by another dog while in racing kennels, which has made her wary of other dogs, and keen have her own space. This eight-year-old sweetheart should be the only dog in the home, and her new owners will need to recognise when she is feeling uncomfortable, and give her the opportunity to move away. She’s not shy of telling other dogs when to back off if need be!
Diwali could live with older children who understand how to treat her gently and not crowd her, and she will reward them with oceans of love. She takes treats delicately, and is eager to bounce after toys – although she’s still working out what to do when she catches them! She is fine when left alone in kennels, although time at home on her own will need to be built up gradually.
Could you make every day a festival of light for our gorgeous girl, and give her a forever home where she can finally shine?
