Sweet, gentle Tabby was nervous of humans when she first came to us, but now she’s coming out of her shell, and she just loves fuss and affection. A total doll, this pretty greyhound girl walks wonderfully on the lead, is interested in everything she sees, and really enjoys her adventures in the local countryside with our volunteer walkers.
Tabby has grown so much in confidence, but she’s still a polite little thing, and never jumps up. She could happily live with older children who will help her learn to be a pet, and with larger dog breeds – she’s really friendly with the other hounds. When she first came to us, Tabby was very focused on small animals and dogs, and while she has become much more relaxed, care and ongoing socialisation will be needed around them.
Tabby will need a secure garden at her new home, so she can run and play to her heart’s content. When she’s out and about, she will have to be kept on the lead and wear a muzzle as she becomes more used to smaller dogs. A four-year-old ex-racer, Tabby ran under the name of Tobacco Road – can you show her the road to her forever home?
