Perfect Pansy is one of the most affectionate greyhound girls we’ve ever met! She loves nothing more than sitting against your leg (or in your lap if she’s allowed!) for a fuss and cuddle. She may be a little chunkier than your usual greyhound, but that just makes her more huggable! Pansy absolutely loves meeting new people, and will become best friends with anyone willing to give her a chest rub. She could live with older children, as long as they don’t mind her enthusiastic greetings!
Pansy is only three years old, and hadn’t experienced much of the world before coming into our care. When she first arrived, she found everything totally over-exciting. Pansy loves to meet other dogs, but had never seen anything non-hound-shaped before. As you can imagine, this has made it difficult for her to keep her cool when making new friends! Although Pansy still has her trademark lust for life, she has been working hard with our behaviour team and is learning to keep calm around other dogs as she prepares for her forever home. She has made loads of progress, and is looking for an owner who is happy to continue her socialisation. She would prefer to be the only dog at home, as she likes to be the centre of attention!
Pansy loves to run around and play, but is equally happy snuggled up alongside you on the sofa. She is a real character who never fails to make us laugh! Pansy has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and will need to continue on her medication in her new home. This doesn’t cause her any pain or distress, and Forever Hounds Trust will continue to cover the costs for this treatment for the rest of her life. Poor Pansy is desperate for her own family and will make a wonderful companion, but we are all worried that she will keep getting overlooked because of her medical condition. Can you be the person to prove us wrong? RESERVED
