About Me

DJ is one of the 4 dogs we have been trying to find forever homes for as their owner is very poorly and can no longer care for them. He is a gorgeous, laid back, black boy of approximately 6 years of age who is good with other dogs.

Location: DJ is sadly now back in kennels in Suffolk awaiting a new forever home or foster home offer due to no fault of his own.
Key Points: Beautiful tall black boy, good with other dogs, VERY friendly and loving, clean in the home, good on the lead and in the car. Very easy companion!

~ Personality ~
DJ is a lovely laid back boy to have around and will make a lucky family very happy. He has been sharing his home with Bella, Mimi and Mikey but sadly their owner is now very unwell and we are desperately trying to find forever homes or foster places for them as they are all back in kennels. Luckily for Bella and Mimi they have now been adopted.

~ In the Home ~
DJ is a very good boy in the home. He is clean and sleeps through the night with no problems. He is fine to be left for 3 - 4 hours with other canine companions.

~ Other Animals ~
DJ has been living with one male and two female greyhounds and is a very good boy around other dogs.

~ Out and About ~
DJ will be happy with a minimum of two 30 minute walks a day and plenty of garden play but would also be happy to have longer walks and perhaps a chance to stretch his legs off lead in an enclosed area away from livestock and public roads a couple of times a week.

~ Greyhounds as Pets ~ In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
DJ could easily fit into most family environments but will need another canine acompanion. We would love to home him with Mikey if at all possible but know this is a big ask as very few people want to adopt two boys together :( Please note that you will be required to travel to Suffolk to meet and collect him. Also please be aware we do not home to families with children under 8 years of age.

~ Where Am I? ~
DJ is currently in kennels in Suffolk after having lived in a home so we are desperate for him to find a new forever family or a foster home offer as it's so hard for him having been used to all his creature comforts. If anyone feels they could foster DJ please give us a call for an informal chat. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
DJ is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
