About Me

Meet the most handsome Rupert one of the softest sweetest boys you could wish to meet....

When we first bought Rupert in he had a very visible injury to his shoulder which is fine and gives him no bother and the fur in that area is now almost grown back. This was a photo from when he first landed.

Rupert is currently in foster with Sophie one of our longstanding foster homes in Worcestershire. He is a lovely young boy who is learning manners and is happily sharing his foster home with a male lurcher and a female lurcher and gets on well with them both. Rupert is clean in the house and fine to be left whilst his foster carer is at work with her calling back to let them out to toilet at lunch.

We do have some of Ruperts history and although he was used for working he was also housed around a cat and was fine with it. We know that with a dog savy cat and careful introductions Rupert could once again learn to co exist with *his* cat. Rupert definitely needs a home with another dog for company and would love a female to hoon around with, off lead in a safe area his recall with other dogs is proving to be good. When Rupert first landed at the kennels we were using at the time he kept insisting on jumping in with the other dogs until we had to move him. He on more than one occassion landed in a kennel with another male dog and was fine thankfully! Rupert has been fabulous around all the children he has met and could be homed with dog savy children 6 upwards.

Out and about on walks Rupert walks like a dream in the main, however he is desperate to meet other dogs and can be quite strong so his foster carer is starting to work with him with a headcollar which will help him learn to relax and not pull so much! He is just such a friendly lad he wants to meet and greet with everyone. Sophie does walk him with 2 others though so with a lesser number it may be managable without the use of a halti at first. Travel wise Rupert loves the car and loves to travel he is not a sicky traveller and settles down to rest.

Whoever gets our lovely Rupert will be so lucky!! He is having a fabulous start in a great foster home and learning to be such a good boy! He is going to be a pleasure to have around and will make the most fabulous family dog

Rupert is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and has been neutered. For more information or to offer Rupert a home please in the first instance complete the pre adoption questionnaire below...
